Scheduled meeting dates for the Raytown Fire District Board of Directors.

People at a meeting

These meetings are normally scheduled twice a month, on the second and fourth Monday. Two additional meetings can be called at any time. At present, the Board meets at Headquarters station, 6020 Raytown Trafficway at 9:00 A.M. During construction at Station 1, meeting will be held at Raytown City Hall in the council chambers. The dates and times are not affected.Occasionally, a separate meeting is held upon request to have the fire board hear an appeal to fire code violations of variance on required construction or installation of fire suppression systems.

The first meeting of the month is scheduled primarily for operations reports, employee feedback, new business and to finish old business related to the previous two meetings. The second meeting is scheduled for financial reports, budget matters, approval of capital expenditures and approvals of solicited bids.

Historically, both meetings last 1 to 2 hours. The public is welcome to attend. Approval of the agendas recognize public comments at either meeting. No advance notice is needed, but it is appreciated so that any preparations can be made prior to the meeting.
