The Raytown Fire Protection District (RFPD) is proud to be an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site. We offer the latest (AHA) classes both at our Headquarters building as well as your business location. The RFPD does not offer regularly scheduled courses for individuals, but we are happy to register a group or organization for a course. Individuals are encouraged to utilize the American Heart Association online renewal and skills verification course click here for more http://www.onlineaha.org. Heartsaver CPR and Heartsaver First Aid meet the requirements for child care providers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, coaches, children's sports organizations, babysitters and parents.
BLS and ACLS training meets requirements for licensed or certified healthcare workers whose primary work environment is a hospital, clinic, medical office, EMS or other healthcare organizations.
Workbooks are required for ALL AHA Classes. The book must be purchased if you do not already have a “current” workbook.

Course Descriptions
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS Initial$75*/Renewal $50
This American Heart Association course is designed for the healthcare provider. Each participant must obtain an 84 percent or higher on the written evaluation and demonstrate proficiency in all CPR skills. Skills include adult, child and infant CPR, FBAO management of the conscious victim, adult/infant/child two rescuer CPR, mouth-to-mask ventilation and automatic external defibrillation (AED). Written and practical skills (hands-on manikin simulation) evaluation and testing are required for course completion. Due to the nature of the course, you must arrive on time. Upon successful completion participant will receive a BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS ONLINE
This course is an option for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative to BLS classroom-based training for first-time or renewal certification. Part 1 is a series of online modules covering the required adult, child and infant CPR AED sequences. Part 2 is a hands-on skills session and Part 3 is a hands-on skills test. Parts 2 and 3 must be completed with an authorized American Heart Association Instructor. Upon successful completion participant will receive a BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.

Skills Test for the BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR Online Renewal $45
This is the Skills Evaluation for the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Renewal course involves hands-on scenarios in a classroom setting. Upon successful completion participant will receive a BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.
Prerequisite: Completion of the BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Renewal and a current BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.
Estimated time: 1 hour
You must bring a copy of the online certificate of completion to skills check-off and a current BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.
HEARTSAVER CPR AED Initial$50*/Renewal $40
This course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. Skills include adult CPR AED (with a mask) and adult choking. Optional modules include: child CPR AED, child choking, infant CPR and infant choking. Modular format creates course flexibility. An optional written test is available for instructors to administer to students whose employers require completion of a written test. Practical skills (hands-on manikin simulation) evaluation and testing are required for course completion. Upon successful completion participant will receive a Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card.

This course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. HEARTSAVER PEDIATRIC FIRST AID CPR AED Initial$85*/Renewal $70
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for childcare workers in all fifty United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It covers the four steps of first aid and first aid skills such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging and using an Epinephrine pen, as well as child CPR AED, infant CPR and optional modules in adult CPR AED, child mask, infant mask and Asthma Care Training for Child Care Providers.

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS) Initial$240*/Renewal $165
This course is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.

HEARTCODE ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS) ONLINE
Self-directed eLearning program lets students train at their own pace! HeartCode® ACLS Part 1This Web-based eLearning course provides the cognitive portion (Part 1) of the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course, and can be used for initial or renewal certification. Features eSimulation technology to let students participate in realistic patient scenarios, assess patients, and formulate treatment — online and at their own pace. Course participants who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate granting them entrance to a skills practice session (Part 2) and skills test (Part 3) with a certified American Heart Association ACLS instructor, which they must pass to qualify for an ACLS course card.
ACLS – Online Course - In-Person Skills Check $75
This is the Skills Evaluation for the American Heart Association HeartCode® ACLS course. This course involves hands-on scenarios conducted in a classroom setting. Upon successful completion participant will receive an ACLS course completion.
